Building Regulations

Regardless of whether planning permission is required or not,  building regulation approval is usually required for a project. The technical detail that is required to comply with the Building Regulations is usually brought together on a drawing/s.

To check on compliance, this is usually covered on 2 stages which can be executed by the Local Authority or an Approved Building Control Officer.

Stage 1

The first stage is to check the details that have been worked up against the requirements of the Building Regulations (the Plan Stage) and when these comply, a Plan Stage Certificate is issued.

Stage 2

The second stage begins after commencement of work on site has begun. At various stages of the project the Building Control Officer will check the work carried out for compliance. On suitable completion of the project, a Completion Certificate will be issued by Building Control.

Client Testimonials

I have been complimented on numerous occasions about the build and how it blends in with the original house. This is a direct reflection on the work of Wright and Ruffell. Once again, many thanks for your assistance, time and continued support.

Our portfolio shows a select few of our projects that we feel give a good idea of the type of projects we take on and the quality we deliver for our clients.

It wouldn’t be practical for us to show every single project, so if there is something that you would like to see but cannot find, let us know and we’ll be happy to send you some examples.
